Services for
the Blind and Physically Handicapped
Regional
Libraries for the Blind and Physically Handicapped
Do you or someone you know have challenges with
reading standard print materials
due to a visual or physically disability? The Regional
Libraries for the Blind
and Physically Handicapped can help.
Any person, who has challenges using standard print
materials due to a visual
of physical disability, is eligible to use the
services of the RLBPH. Registration
for the service requires certification of eligibility
by a doctor, social worker or
librarian.
For those who register, materials are available in
multiple formats with the use of
special equipment or the Internet, as well as Braille
and large print books are available
in person or by mail. Postage is free. The federal and
state governments share the
cost to provide this important service.
Remember to check your local public library for availability of large print or audio books.
