Pennsylvania State Archives

The Pennsylvania State Archives has extensive collections of materials helpful to the genealogical researcher.  As the agency of record for all official state government records, it is the State Archives which holds the original Land Records of the Commonwealth as well as the muster rolls for the soldiers from the wars fought by Pennsylvania residents.  When planning a research trip to Harrisburg, one should consider spending time at both the State Library and the State Archives located a few blocks away.
